Robbie
Robbie learned his golf at Moray Golf Club in Lossiemouth and turned professional in 1980 at the age of 19, being appointed Assistant Professional at Gleddoch Golf & Country Club near Glasgow. In 1982 Robbie won the Scottish PGA ‘Trainee of the Year’ award and in the same year lost in a play-off for the Scottish Assistants Championship.
He was appointed Club Professional at Largs Golf Club in Ayrshire in 1983 where he remained for nearly 10 years. During his time at Largs he gained a reputation as an excellent coach, teaching Ayrshire District Teams, and was instrumental in setting up residential golf schools at the nearby Inverclyde National Sports Training Centre.
Robbie moved to Cruden Bay as Head Professional in 1992 where he is now an integral part of the Club. He is devoted to offering Members and Guests an exceptional experience when playing at Cruden Bay and regularly attends PGA Advanced Seminars in various golfing topics in order to achieve this.
Robbie also served Cruden Bay as ‘Club Administrator’ for 2 years, 1993 & 1994, following which time he became a director of Tartan Golf Ltd , and served as Chairman for 2 years, 1998 & 1999. A regular competitor in the North East Golfers Winter Alliance, he was Captain 2004 – 2008 and since 1996 has held the course record at his home course, Moray Old.

Neil
Neil learned his golf at Peterhead Golf Club where he enjoyed great success at club level. He represented both the North East District and the North East Schools Teams, and in 1998 he narrowly missed out on qualifying to represent Scotland in the British schools championship.
Neil joined our Professional team in 1999 at the age of 17 and turned professional with a handicap of 1. He successfully qualified in 2004 gaining a PGA Diploma and since then has continued his education by attending numerous PGA Advanced Seminars and is currently studying towards the PGA Advanced Diploma. Neil is a regular competitor on the Tartan Tour and in 2003 he won the Turner Access Pro-Am at Cawder G.C. He became Head Teaching Professional in April 2006 and uses the latest in computerised digital swing technology to maximise the benefits to the beginner, developing and experienced golfer. In addition he is now coach to the North East District Juniors.

Luke
Luke joined the Professional team at the age of 17 in 2006, having spent his junior career as a successful and popular member of Peterhead Golf Club. Now in his 3rd year attached to Cruden Bay, Luke is studying towards his PGA Degree and plays regularly in the Scottish PGA ‘Young Professional’ events. Luke particularly enjoys teaching and is heavily involved in the ‘Clubgolf’ National Junior Initiative at Cruden Bay.
Luke is very much the all round sportsman, having played professional football for Elgin City FC and represented Scotland at schoolboy under 16 levels.
